What people are researching it for
People are researching NA-Selank for stress, racing thoughts, social anxiety, mood, and calmer focus.
A calmer mind. A brighter you.
- What is NA-Selank?
- a synthetic heptapeptide (7 amino acids)
- Checklist: 7 amino acids
- How does it work?
- Note: Exact mechanisms are still being researched.
- Common research use cases
- Not written out in this text version.
- How it's used in research
- Route: Intranasal (common)
- Route: Subcutaneous
- Route: Other (research dependent)
- Common dosing: 250 to 1,000 mcg per day
- Common dosing: 1 to 2 times daily
- Common dosing: Duration varies (from days to weeks)
- Often combined with: NA-Semax (complementary)
- Often combined with: Other cognitive peptides
- Often combined with: Lifestyle and training protocols
- There is no standardized dose or protocol. Research use should be thoughtful, tracked, and adjusted based on individual response.
- What users report
- Keep in mind: Results vary widely
- Keep in mind: Not everyone responds
- Keep in mind: Headaches and paradoxical anxiety are reported
- Keep in mind: More human studies are needed on NA-Selank specifically
- Key takeaway
- It's not a magic solution, but many researchers report a calmer mind, better emotional control, and improved quality of life.
- The bottom line
- NA-Selank is a promising research peptide for anxiety, stress, and emotional regulation, with a strong and consistent anecdotal profile. More high-quality human studies are needed. Use only high-purity peptides, follow a research-focused approach, and set realistic expectations.
Reasons people look into NA-Selank. An interest is not a promise that it works.
- Cognitive & mood
People most often report a calm mind; others feel little or stop due to headaches.
Community reports
Many reports describe quieter racing thoughts, less reactivity, and easier conversation or crowds. Others report little effect or stop because of headaches or other side effects.
N-Acetyl Selank is a modified form of the peptide Selank that people look at for calming stress, quieting overthinking and feeling easier around other people.
What this is based on
- Community reportsWhat people describe noticing. Not proof of cause.
- Learn Peptides explanationOur own plain-English summary of the sources. It is not a source itself.
Community reports
People mainly use it to quiet anxious thoughts, stay steady under stress and feel easier in social situations. Reports split between strong responders (mostly people who started out very anxious), a large group who feel little or nothing, and a smaller group who get headaches, more anxiety or a flat, spacey feeling.
Small studies of anxiety in people used plain Selank, not this form.
Small human anxiety studies exist for parent Selank, not the N-acetyl variant.
No human trial shows it is stronger or lasts longer than plain Selank.
No human trial shows that NA-Selank is stronger or longer-lasting than plain Selank.
Safety notes
The studies were done on plain Selank, not this form. Headache is the most common complaint, and a few people report more anxiety or feeling flat.
- You have trouble breathing or wheezing, or your face, lips, tongue or throat swell.
- You get hives away from the injection site, or feel severely dizzy or faint.
For these signs, call 911 or your local emergency number.
- Redness spreads, or heat, swelling or pain keeps growing where you injected.
- A lump keeps growing or does not go away, or you see pus or red streaks.
- You have a fever or chills, or feel sick all over.
- Anxiety, panic, bipolar or another mood condition. A minority of people say it made their anxiety worse, sometimes for hours. A smaller number feel spacey, flat or detached instead of calm.
- Headache is the side effect people report most consistently, ranging from mild pressure to the occasional severe headache.
- Some people feel sleepy or mellow enough to nap, while others feel no drowsiness at all, so it is hard to predict.
- One person who said they took too much reported headache, nausea and chest pressure.
- The human studies people point to were done on plain Selank, so they do not show that this N-acetyl form works or how safe it is.
- The research describes no safety study of this form and says nothing about using it alongside medicine for anxiety, depression or sleep. That is an unknown, not an all-clear.

It is Selank with a small chemical cap added, meant to help it last longer.
N-Acetyl Selank is the peptide Selank (a chain of seven ) with a small chemical cap added to one end. The cap is meant to help the peptide hold up longer, but nobody has shown in people that it makes it work better. In the forum reports, people use this family of peptides as a or as an injection under the skin, with no agreement on which works better. It is not the same thing as plain Selank, and it is not the same as the amidate form that often goes by a similar name.
Not the same as
- N-Acetyl Selank is not plain Selank. It is the same seven-amino-acid chain with a small chemical cap (an acetyl group) added to the front end.
- It is not N-Acetyl Selank Amidate (often called Adalank), which is changed at both ends of the chain.
- Online, 'NA-Selank' is used loosely. People often say it when they mean the amidate form, and labeling is inconsistent, so a report may not be about this exact form.
- It is not Semax or N-Acetyl Semax, which people describe as the alertness and focus peptide of the pair.
- The human studies people quote were done on plain Selank, not on this N-acetyl form.
